Liam Wilson FRACS

Urologist

 

Liam Wilson is a urologist (adult and paediatric) who finished his training in Tauranga, before moving to London where he completed fellowships in Uro-oncology and Endourology as well as Paediatric Urology at Great Ormand Street.

 

Back in Tauranga, he has special interests in female incontinence, kidney stones and prostate cancer, as well as all aspects of Paediatric Urology.

 

At work, Liam is Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Bay of Plenty Clinical School, Head of Senior Medical Staff Committee at Tauranga Hospital, and has been Head of Department of Venturo. He is an Associate Faculty Member at the Faculty of 1000, and has been a reviewer for the British Journal of Urology, European Urology, and the Journal of Endourology.

 

From an administrative point of view, Liam has particular interest in quality health delivery and health management. 

 

 

At home, if his three young children will allow him, he likes to go for the occasional run, catch the cricket and listen to the music of Neil Young.
